Four of the best for Prunty

Four goals from striker Bryan Prunty helped Dumbarton to a stunning 6-0 away victory at East Fife in the Irn-Bru Scottish Second Division.

Martin McBride opened the scoring for the visitors with a long-range effort before Prunty gave the away side a two-goal lead with a close-range finish after 20 minutes.

Prunty made it three when he latched on to Mark Gilhaney's through ball before James Lyden gave Alan Adamson's men a four-goal lead moments before the half-time whistle.

Ryan Wallace missed a penalty for the hosts after 70 minutes after Lyden brought down Craig Johnstone.

Prunty then completed the rout, though, scoring two goals inside the last 11 minutes. Firstly, he volleyed past Michael Brown before finishing coolly moments later.
