Dumbarton 1-2 Livingston- Match Report

McNulty breaks Livi's duck

Marc McNulty's double helped Livingston record their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory away to Dumbarton.

Mitchel Megginson gave the hosts a first-half lead but McNulty's second-half brace gave John McGlynn his first win as boss.

Dumbarton wasted an early opportunity when Mark Gilhaney fired wide from long range in the 12th minute, when a pass to Colin Nish would have been a better option.

But they went into half-time with a one-goal advantage through Megginson's sweetly-struck volley from close range.

The lead lasted three minutes into the second half when Mike Mampuya's cross was met in the middle by McNulty, who swept home a right-footed strike into the bottom corner.

McNulty secured the three points as grabbed his second with 15 minutes left, smashing home Connor McDonald's cross into the top left-hand corner from the edge of the area.
