Dumbarton 0-2 Falkirk- Match Report

Taylor on goal trail for Bairns

Lyle Taylor's sixth goal of the season set Falkirk on the way to a 2-1 win over lowly Dumbarton, who are yet to win a league game this season.

The Bairns piled more misery on the bottom club thanks to an excellent finish by Taylor, who produced an exquisite lob from the edge of the area early on.

The lead was doubled just after the half-hour when David Weatherston's powerful drive found the bottom left corner from 18 yards.

Dumbarton almost pulled a goal back 12 minutes from time but Chris Turner's curling free-kick cannoned back of the bar.

They went close again after 85 minutes when James Lister's sumptuous volley also rattled the woodwork but they could not find a way through.
